Valerian tea for relaxation

by Kell

This is generally best used as a tea before bedtime.

There are a couple of ways that you can make Valerian tea.

Cold water Valerian tea

You could make cold water tea which I think is best as the cool water infusion prevents the oils from escaping.

If you choose this option then two teaspoons of valerian root to one cup of water at room temperate is best. Cover and let it steep for 8 hours.

Hot water Valerian tea

A hot water infusion which is much quicker to prepare. Simply add 1-2 teaspoons of Valerian to a cup of hot water and let it sit until cooled.
