Transcendental Meditation for Stress Reduction

Transcendental meditation (or TM) is an exercise that is designed to help you relax. A large body of evidence illustrates that TM effectively reduces stress.

With the rapidly industrialized world, increasing competition and a rapidly accelerating pace of life, stress diseases are becoming one of the major killers.

With the pressures likely to remain what is the solution? Well I think the problem resides less in the pressures but our coping strategies.

TM can give you intense rest that is required to rejuvenate on a daily basis.

TM works differently to mindfulness meditation. Unlike mindfulness meditation, which allows passing thoughts to be observed and then discarded, TM is a meditation technique that focuses on a mantra.

By focusing on a mantra, TM allows the mind to settle down. As the mind settles down the body becomes more relaxed than if you were asleep. However, you are fully awake, in a state of mental quite and inner alertness.

Unfortunately TM cannot be given to you on this site because it is trademarked.

But before you invest in a course, there are versions of other relaxation and meditation techniques such as the Japa meditation and breathing meditation, that are free and could benefit you
